Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

Total chick flick.
WONDERFUL chick flick.
Not a dry eye in the house chick flick.
BEAUTIFUL chick flick.
Acting, photography, costuming, story - all so well done.
Did I mention chick flick?
Did I mention I wept and wept and wept while watching this?
Oh, foreign film with subtitles! Not for those who hate to read while watching a movie.

Stunning movie. Chick flick. Subtitles. Crying.

  1. Well this would appear to fly in the face of your stated purpose for your blog. *I would argue that this movie requires HIGH standards...that is unless you left out the part where Snow flower is hiding an RPG/uzi behind the secret fan and wipes out the Emperor's Ninja clan. Oh, and subtitles? WTF!? If a movie can't be made in the language God meant it to be i.e. English (and by English, I mean American. That England tea time period film crap is just as bad) So let's sum up: Bullets, Booms, and Blood - Good. Plot, Reading at a movie - makes me drool on myself while my brain slides out my yawn hole. If I wanted to go somewhere with a bunch of crying women, I would have just stayed home. Get back to reviewing Uwe Boll movies!
